PAX Labs
A unique opportunity at PAX Labs was a window into the complex landscape of cannabis regulation and portfolio management across two diverse product types: hardware and consumables. Each project covered a wide range of packaging responsibilities; including structural design, packaging engineering, graphic design, print production, and project management. Being the solo packaging specialist was an opportunity to touch all disciplines and manage packaging from start to finish.

ERA GO
Packaging
The ERA GO was an evolution and cost reduction project to an existing design. Maintaining the clear front of the box was a packaging requirement. Exploration into alternative materials to rigid board, clever folded carton constructions, simplification of components, and reduction of material were all prototyped and quoted against the current. In the end, a very similar package was achieved at a reduced cost with updated graphic design.

Ideas to Sampling
Sketches quickly evolved into dielines and CAD to create physical mockups. Evaluating each concept in 3D made it easier to downselect the design, understand assembly, and get accurate quotes from vendors.

Accessories
Graphic design
A diverse product portfolio in the accessories and replacement parts category needed a graphic update to bring the brand look and feel up to the level of the more expensive devices. Updates to the logo, layout, product render angle, copy, and regulatory information defined a new set of master design files to build off of.
